I didn't start Aumani to sell incense...
I grew up watching the power of healing hands. My mother, a physician, didn't just practice medicine; she built sanctuaries. Over 20 years ago, she established a self-funded medical clinic and education center in Barrio Cristo Rey, Dominican Republic. I saw the direct impact of her hands—the genuine, reciprocated love and the deep gratitude of a community being restored.
I carried that ethos with me. I already understood that service is a loop—that giving benefits the giver as much as the receiver. I volunteered at local soup kitchens and served on the board of directors for a non-profit, helping to build schools and bring water to communities in need.
But there was a disconnect.
My professional journey led me into the high-velocity world of Enterprise Technology. As a Solution Architect for major telecommunications, healthcare, and biotech firms, I spent years implementing complex systems at scale. My work affected millions of lives, yet it felt entirely faceless.
I was building the infrastructure of the future, and despite my volunteer work, I was neglecting the infrastructure of my own spirit.
The breaking point didn't happen all at once. It was the slow erosion of late nights and constant client demands—a persistent noise that eventually became a 'restless mind' I couldn't quiet. I found myself battling mental health struggles that I eventually realized were rooted in seeking fulfillment outward—through career milestones and even external acts of service—rather than inward.
I had been architecting global systems, but I hadn't yet architected my own peace.
I realized a fundamental truth: You cannot pour from an empty cup. I wanted to sustain my mother’s legacy of service, but I knew that to do so, I first needed to cultivate my own internal work.
How do we find our ground so we can help others find theirs?
Aumani was born from this question. I sought to build a vessel for that peace—not just a decoration, but a functional tool for grounding. My search led me to the universal language of vibration and the ancient Sanskrit symbol 'Aum' (Om). I discovered that 'Aum' wasn't just a chant; it was a map. The curve at the top represents the 'veil of illusion' that separates us from higher consciousness. I wanted to make that invisible map visible.
DESIGNED FOR PRESENCE
That is why I designed the Ornaument™.
The Descent: I designed the smoke to flow downward, piercing the veil of the Aum symbol. It is a living visualization of enlightenment descending into your daily reality.
The Geometry: I refused to place the symbol in the static center. Instead, it is positioned at the Golden Ratio, aligning the object with the mathematical heartbeat of nature.
The 105° Precision: This isn't random. The incense stick is suspended at a precise 105-degree angle, physically encoding the vibration of Angel Number 105—the signal for positive change—into the very structure of the ritual.
We heal minds to fund the healing of bodies.
This is the circle of abundance. My mother healed bodies with medicine. We heal minds with mindfulness. And today, we fund the former with the latter.
The Aumani Cares initiative is not a charity, and Aumani is not just a brand. It is a sustainable engine for good. Every Ornaument™ Serenity Kit purchase directly funds the clinics and schools where this story began. When you find your ground, you help a community find its footing.
